C-SET and the Niners

The Charlotte Observer (nice job on the Niner article by the way) had an article about C-SET, Carolina’s Sports Entertainment Television, and how it’s only offered for digital cable subscribers. It looks like they carry various North and South carolina sports programing and games with the main focus on Charlotte Bobcats. The article, however, also stated that they plan on carrying Charlotte 49er basketball games. Does anyone know if they plan on airing Niner games this year? If so, which ones?

Unrelated question: What is Jobey Thomas up to now? Still in Portugal?

from this thread:

12/8 - @ Davidson
1/8 - ECU
1/12 - @ UAB
1/22 - @ Marquette
1/29 - @ ECU
2/19 - @ Tulane
2/23 - Memphis

Not sure about Jobey… haven’t heard anything about him in a while.

Great, thanks!

That makes digital cable much more attractive.

C-SET story

C-SET reaches 700,000 Time Warner digital subscribers in the Carolinas, including Raleigh, Greensboro/Winston-Salem and Columbia. Comporium Cable in York County, S.C., is the only non-Time Warner company carrying the station. (Talks are ongoing with Adelphia and Comcast.)

The guy at Charter told me Charter would soon pick it up, which would expand coverage from Gaston/Lincoln County to the Mountains. Hope it happens soon.

Go ahead and get a DVR box for an additional $7/month… you won’t regret it.

Looks like no TV for Valpo

ESPN Full Court has UNC Charlotte vs Indiana on their schedule

Nothing for Cable Car Classic…11pm game vs Yale…ouch!
