I could see us having the same issue as odu “fans” preferring to watch their game with ecu on TV rather than ACTUALLY showing up in person to support/watch the team. (Bunch o’ dang band-wagoneers!)

We need to get that conference basketball tournament dammit! We have a perfect situation in downtown Charlotte for this.

You think Judy/Phil would actually pay for it?

If we can maintain the brand we are putting out we MIGHT be able to line up the sponsors. When it comes to these things it is all about the sponsors and up to this point I didn’t see either Judy or Phil working to find those sponsors. With all the publicity that football has generated and that more and more companies are seeing that we can bring some eyeballs and interests, there is a greater chance of this happening than there was 12 months ago.

Sounds like the commish wants to make Nashville the permanent home. We need to move in on 15 and '16 before that happens.

WupAss is right, If we are ever going to pull in big sponsors to help us host the tournament noes the time. I have never seen so much general interest in Charlotte than we have right now.

I just want to host our conference basketball tournament at least once before I leave this earth.

Were you alive in 1987? ;D

Hadn’t hit campus yet.

Nashville seems to be an early favorite for a semi-permanent men’s tournament site and honestly that’s pretty good for us. I can see the west division folks not wanting it anywhere near the east coast, so Nashville is a victory, and somewhat closer than Atlantic City or Brooklyn.

Nashville wants to be the permanent site for the SEC bball tournament but CUSA might be a backup plan.
