Dude, Heās the second coming of Chris Sager. However, heās going to get major minutes with Lutz. Heās our best 3 ball option and thatās what Lutz loves. Itās all he knows how to coach.
Agree that Ian might be a good role player -> Bring him in for 10 min/ game and let him get 6 pts. After anyone watched the CSF game, there is no way in heck Ian is a goto guy for 3 pointers -> He missed several wide open 3ās, and took several very contested 3ās.
I have to say I very much appreciated Wildernesses effort in the paint. Coleman appears to be a bright spot-> Let him play and develop. Mack is being asked to do too much, and itās hurting him.
Charlotteās opponents are 24-16 so far this season not including exhibition games. I thought it would be worse but then I saw that Clemson and Arizona State account for 13 of those 24 wins. ODU has not won a game since they beat Charlotte. Only 4 teams the Niners have faced do not have a losing record. App is 2-2. Just throwing it out there. Iām depressed. At least the Panthers won.
Yes nobody knows how good we are at coffing up a lead, the providence game made me sick. however good fight in this game, just not enough. i guess i got spoiled in the ol days in the late 1990s-mid 2000ās when we could beat anybody not in the top 25 and give any other team a run for their money and steal a few, sigh.

Yes we could beat/hang with Top 25 teams back then but we also lost to the Kent States of the world also. Those losses were easier to take when the Niners were beating quality opponents. Not so much now.
Most teams try to slow us down by throwing the ball into the post more, ala San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns⦠But getting into the run and gun game where youāre matching 3 point shooting with us isnt going to work.

I pretty much agree with all of this. Andersenās role became most apparent to me in the Providence game when Lutz decided to go with him at the end of the game. That just isnāt the type of player that Andersen is.
Harris, Coleman, Wilderness and Mack need to get the bulk of the minutes. Then Jones and Coley need to some how be split to maximize their efforts. I can even see allowing Mack and Coleman to split minutes at the 2 if it allows Wilderness to get more minutes.
Look, I agree Mack has played badly. But for this team to have any type of success, its going to take Mack playing better and not riding the pine. As bad as heās played, he still leads us in scoring and is second in rebs. Thatās right, he has more rebounds than Jones while playing less minutes than Jones.
And I know, yes its easy to lead the team in scoring when you shoot the most. But you still have to have the confidence to take the shot and the ability to get open for a shot, which he is the most capable of on this roster. I do think he needs to be reeled in some to give more opportunities for Wilderness or Jones. If he rides the pine, the minutes will have to come from Andersen or Barnett. I donāt know how you can honestly think that would be better.
I know everyone wants Mack to be the man. They want him to be awesome. Itād be awesome if that could happen.
But⦠he kills team chemistry. Every time we get momentum he jacks up a three from way behind the 3-point line or travels/charges. He is a team killer.
If we need threes, why canāt we have Barnett be the go to guy? At least he would be ready for next year.
Letās just play Harris, Barnett, Coleman, Wilderness, and Jones with Dewhurst first off the bench. Build the core for next yr. This lineup might work best with the 4 out 1 in.

This is in fact may happen. Just not yet before conference play has even started. And before I say this, I know we stink right now, but it is fair to say that we were close to being 6-1 right now, instead of 1-6.

Agreed. Why not start Barnett, or at least give him more minutes. Ian aināt doing it. He hits a couple of big shots every now and then, but isnāt consistent and canāt defend.
In the the tournament, our competitionās record was 4-5. And of course 3 of the 4 wins were from US! Just restating what we all realize. Not only were we the worst team there but the teams we played couldnāt beat anyone else either (one exception being ASU)

Really, the hard fact to swallow is that every team gets at least one win except one team. one out of eight teams goes home winless.
