Ive been wondering if Panthers might trade up from #39 if a player like WR Zay Flowers or DE Nolan Smith are around in the 20s…
I hope Young lasts a little longer than RG3 did. I’m still confused why you would draft a small QB who likes to leave the pocket after you spent so much draft capital building a proper offensive line. 2015 Cam Newton is shaking his head in frustration and envy.
There’s even talk of them trading back to 4 to pick Levis and more picks. My thoughts are if you think there is your franchise QB for the next 10 years, pick him at 1.
It iis a scary proposition with Young. At 5’10" 195 he is smaller than 50% of current HS QBs. SEC defenders are big time but the NFL is another animal. The size and speed of NFL players are off the chart and it only takes one hit to change everything. Hell look at Cam playing at Denver and the hits he took. If anyone besides Young is your pick you have to drop down and recoup picks if available.

I’m telling you, if Zay Flowers falls all the way to 30, if I’m Fitt, I’m moving up from 39. I think I’d do the same for Quentin Johnson. He may even be the better vertical threat with his size / stride.
Gonzales falling that far? Doubt it. I am partial the Steelers going after Branch as a nickel that can play safety. Wouldn’t be upset if a stud tackle fall to them.
The Patriots probably pick a tackle or Branch, maybe a pure corner if one actually falls like this draft shows. Saban is Bill’s bud and Branch is one of the best football player in the draft, despite his apparent mock draft rankings.
I wouldn’t be surprised if QB’s fall like they did last year. If the best RB on the draft falls that far, I would kind of be surprised.
Nolan Smith and Van Ness are wildcards that could go much higher if a team loves them.
Carter might be a draft steal, at least if he doesn’t kill anyone else off the field…
