Young’s next stop? Would certainly be a significant pay cut - top CFL QBs make six figures - but still an opportunity to resurrect career before perhaps going into coaching etc.
Being told to sit a bit is a good thing. Gives him a chance to see how the QB position is played. He has talent but he does not give the team the best chance to win right now. How could the coach look at that locker room and say a QB that can’t throw over 10 yards downfield without it being picked off is going to trot back out there?
They drafted the wrong QB. He is 5’9 in heels and has to jump to throw over his offensive line. He has to have blocking such that lanes are created or he can’t see the field. He is not able, at this time, to diagnose coverage and throw people open or even see and hit people who are wide open ( ask Thielen).
In short (pun intended) he is not an NFL QB. We gave up our best receiver and 4 draft picks to move up to get him. Absolutely the dumbest trade in NFL history behind Hershel Walker trade.
This. It isn’t fair to the other players to play Bryce. It’s not fair to the coaches and it’s not fair to the fans that pay money to attend.
Ive dug up my old posts and tweets saying to draft CJ Stroud instead, and it’s just torture. Partly because I am far from the only one saying it, and partly because it also reminds me of all the bad decisions we’ve seen coming that this athletics department made. It really shouldn’t be that easy sometimes, but it too often is.
clt says baby bryce was not the consensus #1 pick at all
this is not a cam or andrew luck type pick
clt says trade him for a 4th round pick and a bo box
clt says what a difference with an actual nfl qb in the game
