clt says dude must have a hot tub time machine. take the panthers under this year
I realize last season was pretty bad and perhaps for some it seemed like 2 years instead of one with Young at QB, but no need to exaggerate. Still, no argument that Tepper is now NFL’s worst owner.

This is wasted money.
We need a retractable dome.
Build big and better.

This is the fun tax.
If your almost any market other than NY, you have to pay or risk losing the team.
And losing the team means no more NFL fun for your city.
I just don’t get the “it’s not a good investment argument”. That’s obvious from a purely financial perspective.
This is about keeping the team which makes a large number of the people in the area happy.
It’s also not a good investment to buy a corvette. But a lot of people do cause their fun to drive.
They do that on their own dime. Different pots of money I know, but I’d much rather see $650 million go towards building greenways and parks that everyone can enjoy, for free, year round.
I would argue that a huge percentage of the population of this area enjoy the panthers.
And this is being done in the dime of taxpayers.
This is a long established pattern nationwide.
If this was a big deal to tax payers they would let their feelings be known on this issue at the polls and no elected official would dare approve it. Doesn’t seem like that’s happening.
Simplistic? Maybe. But it keeps happening and I’m not seeing a trend of electoral punishment nationwide for this.
Beaten dog syndrome. Even if you fight no way to win so people just shrug their shoulders and move on.
clt says we have over 1M people in Mecklenburg County
400 people surveyed is not a good representation of the general public. use the tourism dollars and upgrade BofA, and add more smoking areas!
The way the gov’ment pisses money away I’d just as soon it be pissed away on something I like.
Granted I don’t live in the city but that would be my perspective regardless
Hopefully WR Diontae Johnson “grows up” now that he’s in the QC:
