Cavs waive Basden

I thought RBC supported the Canes.
Good luck to Basden finding another pro b-ball job.

I’m pretty sure they do, as well as State (I would guess, since both play in the RBC center). RBC is who’s responsible for the nice, new scoreboard we have (if you couldn’t tell by looking at it).

Best of luck Eddie, hope you land on your feet somewhere. Even if he plays overseas for a year or two - I think the guy has the heart and determination to get another shot in the league. I think Bruce Bowen had a similar path.

Finally, some intelligent humor on this board!

Around the league

I can’t say I’m surprised that ex-Charlotte 49er Eddie Basden was cut by the Cleveland Cavaliers. His contract was unguaranteed, and a team paying huge dollars to LeBron James, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden can’t really afford guarantees for projects.

Basden was better off in Chicago, where Bulls coach Scott Skiles valued his defensive intensity

Does anyone have any news on Rodney White? He is not with the Spanish league team that he played for last year. I have not seen where he is at a NBA training camp.

Has he thrown in the towel?

Rodney will be playing in the Basque. Signed with Lagun Aro Bilbao of the same league as his previous team.
