i hope they plan on including lamont mack and cc3 in numbers 15-1

ehem… Wilderness.

I’m not expecting any more than mack. Comeon guys, we all know that we never have and never will get any respect - it doesnt matter who we beat, how many 5 star players we have, etc. etc. etc. just doesnt happen.

but thats fine - I like dominating opponents who think that we only have one player. biatch.

Figure these will get consideration…

Charlie Coley, Charlotte
Lamont Mack, Charlotte
Marcus Johnson, Dayton
Chris Wright, Dayton
Brenton Butler, Fordham
Rob Diggs, GW
Wynton Witherspoon, GW
Rodney Green, La Salle
Jimmy Baron Jr., URI
Ahmad Nivins, St. Joe’s
Tommie Liddell, Saint Louis
Kevin Lisch, Saint Louis
Dionte Christmas, Temple
Chris Lowe, UMass
Ricky Harris, UMass
C. J. Anderson, Xavier
Derrick Brown, Xavier

Of course, Dan Geriot of UR would have been on the list in the top 10 if not for his season-ending injury. Anyway, looks like about every team in A-10 could be represented with the exception of Bona. D’Lancy Carter is probably best candidate for a breakout season for Bonnies, but not sure that makes him All A-10 in 08-09.

Christmas #1??? Mack top 5?

Hey Run - this quote is from the article under ‘Ryan Brooks’:

Well, guess I should either start reading everything or perhaps I’m suffering from memory loss in my “old” age. Hmmm…

So, and this is a big assumption, we have only 1 of the top 25 players in the league.

I find that extremely unlikely.

We lost far and away the top steals guy in the league last year (Lee), but guess who was in a deadheat for #2?

I’ll give you a hint: Dell Curry’s son has tasted his sac.

Here’s another list that is NOT getting a separate thread because the writer is channeling Billy Packer in the opening paragraph…

this guys an idiot.

Here are the next 5, including a Niner!

No. 15 - Jimmy Baron, Rhode Island

No. 14 - Marcus Johnson, Dayton

No. 13 - C.J. Anderson, Xavier

No. 12 - Lamont Mack, Charlotte

While Charlotte has a tremendous amount of balance on the roster, if last year was any indication, Lamont Mack is the one Niner who will stand apart from his teammates in 2008-09. In 27 minutes of action per game last season, the Chicago native averaged 12.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest, adjusting nicely after arriving at Charlotte via Angelina Junior College in Texas. In fact, once Atlantic 10 play began, Mack averaged 15.6 ppg., shot 41% from long range and 80% from the stripe. Look for similar numbers to those posted in A-10 play, plus another rebound or two per game from this underrated talent.

No. 11 - Tommie Liddell, Saint Louis

Here’s the next five. Surprised that Geriot made the list since he’s out this season. Hmmm…

No. 10 - Rodney Green, La Salle

No. 9 - Dan Geriot, Richmond *(injured)

No. 8 - Kevin Lisch, Saint Louis

No. 7 - Ricky Harris, UMass

No. 6 - Rob Diggs, George Washington

What is the love affair with Rob Diggs?

His numbers aren’t that great, and while he seems like a good young player, I’m just not seeing him as a top 6 player in this league.

Now that I’ve said that, he’s sure to drop 40 on us.

Funny…this guy has been drinking.

Looks like the top 5 will be (in alpha order here):

Derrick Brown, Xavier

Dionte Christmas, Temple

Chris Lowe, UMass

Ahmad Nivins, St. Joe’s

Chris Wright, Dayton

And the top 5 are…

No. 5 - Chris Wright, Dayton

No. 4 - Derrick Brown, Xavier

No. 3 - Chris Lowe, UMass

No. 2 - Ahmad Nivins, Saint Joseph’s

No. 1 - Dionte Christmas, Temple
