Charlie "Cobra" Coley

Wow. I took my eight year old son to see the Globetrotters at the RBC Center last night and decided to splurge on court side seats. I was not sure if the “Cobra” would make an appearance or not but decided to wear my Niner gear anyway. Sure enough, he was there and perform he did. He came over to us three times thanking us for coming out and supporting him. He gave my son his wrist ban with autograph at the end of the game. Class “A” guy. He fit right in with the Globetrotters. I told him that Niner Nation was very proud of him. What a night!

He is a great rep for the unversity and is a total show man. Glad he found his niche.

What happened to the Charlotte appearance?

Very Cool. Lutz said he would be in Raleigh but not with the team that will be in Charlotte on March 20th. That’s really cool that you had those seats and were able to interact with Charlie. I was hoping to do the same thing with my 2 sons in Charlotte.

He will be in Charlotte.

The Globetrotters have been coming to NC / Charlotte / Triad Area the 3rd week of March for over 30 years.

Good for him. Excellent use of his skills. Good for the university too.

I need to go see them sometime. Love to watch them when they are on TV.

They’re coming to Asheville, I 'm going to make a point to fly the colors and hope to speak with him. Sounds like a cool gig.

I don’t know what the money is like, but Harlem Globetrotters is way more cool on the resume/obituary than Panionios BC or some other European team. Be a legend Charlie!

Too bad they don’t still make Scooby Doo or 3 Stooges cartoons or Charlie could be a part-time cartoon star.

And the Globetrotters must love losing $ to come during the Ncaa Tourney.

Just to let yall know even though the Observer said Cobra was coming to Charlotte they were wrong… he will not be in charlotte this year…

Glad I didn’t buy those tix yesterday…
