The Mayor - βAlright! Here we go!β
Terrible decision. Big drop off in attendances up north. I also watch because itβs the only pro sport going on in the area over the summer, and Iβm sure Iβm not the only one like that. Now directly competing with NFL/CFB and NBA and NHL for a majority of the season
Charlotte Knights going on during the summer too and basically right next door to BofA. Yes, more like apples to oranges but just saying.
Anyway, MLS with some head scratchers this week. Consultants will make their money either way.
If they want to be a legitimate league on the international , this is necessary. It will have some impacts - good & bad - but this better aligns with the World Cup in β26 and would likely include scheduling breaks & road trips to account for the coldest months.
Itβll avoid maybe a handful of the hottest games at BofA, which I like, but I also liked how the MLS season bridged the gap between NFL / CBB seasons, which I will miss.
Also, this probably kills whatever miniscule chance we ever had of Tepper putting grass back down in BofA.
I agree with a comment that it needs a couple more small blue stripes on the shoulders, but otherwise itβs excellent.
I think FC is about to have a special season.
clt says we should offer that kid.
