This is the #6 pick in the draft. NBA is crazy. Drafting all 18 and 19 year olds now. NBA is not where you should learn to play. No wonder European kids are all in the top 10. There are hardly any American kids that even learn fundamentals snymore with the AAU circuit. Knecht (?) from Tennessee dropped to mid round because he was 23. This only increases the chances of kids going to the league for 3 years then dropping back to college ball and NIL money. If I am thinking of that strategy then you know the Big Boys are also.
Our new coaching staff will develop him against grown men. He has been playing against grown men as a professional in France and has done well. Salaun has great potential, and I see him like the Wizards pick of Coulibaly last year. That picked worked out pretty well for the Wizards. Besides anyone whose nickname is Baby Giannis canāt be that bad.
It seemed most players in this draft were classified as projects. With that in mind, i dont hate the pick.
So the system is so distorted that you are drafting kids in the top 10 for potential and nicknames because you are scared to death you might miss out on the next big thing. I hope he works out but it is a dangerous game with a lot of money on the line but you are telling me that is the way the game is played now and the product produced moving forward. An 18 year old is still an 18 year old physically and mentally so it will be a great media shiw either way with success or failure.

FWIW, sounds like they arenāt going to keep Jackson this time either. Does seem odd to do it two years in a row though apparently not costing the Buzz anything and getting draft picks out of it to boot!
