Would think if the Hornets could redo the 2022 draft they would have kept big Jalen Duren, especially since Mark Williams didn’t work out. That trade that sent Duren to Detroit resulted in Nick Smith being taken in 2023 and he lasted all of two seasons with the Buzz. Meanwhile, Duren - the 2022 AAC FOY and 2023 NBA all rookie 2nd teamer - is so far having what appears to be a breakout year with the Pistons.
I never understood not keeping both of them. They had needed a true center for years. Out of those 2 there was a good chance at least 1 would turn out to be really good.

ha, yeah it’s time for both sides to move on.
My fascination with the Buzz is done for now. It was fun to pay attention for the first time in forever but looking like same old crap as with the Johnson + Jordan regimes. Oh well, at least James Harden will have a fond memory of hoops in the QC. I can only handle one BB team driving me bonkers per season!
