That pretty much describes the Drake vs NAU MBB game I watched earlier today.
Anyway, Auburn is a total SEC 180 from what we’ll see when we play LSU.
Disappointed in the Charlotte coaching based on this game. Hope it improves
Size of ball, etc. May be excellent point. This is not to knock the concept of women’s basketball, but the great momentum that has been generated in the last couple of seasons will be lost if something is not done among the college ranks. I realize this will not be considered “politically correct”, but I would genuinely like to se the game thrive!
Tough to watch. Talent level may be better but looks like 5th grade ball with 2-3 zone defense and no offensive flow. Another fabulous Mike Hill hire.
They have a lot to work on and the OT performance was terrible, but this is a massive improvement over last season’s squad.
The women do indeed use a little smaller basketball in college
Unfortunately, final five minutes similar to first five. Pretty much ran out of gas in the end.
The talent pool is also just much smaller. The better players all converge on the few large schools still. The good news is the game isn’t as refined as men’s basketball and so very good players can still be recruited from smaller schools
The speed and athleticism of this squad did not come through on the radio. It is such a vast improvement over last year it’s unrecognizable. They make the shots they should, they play staunch defense when they can. So many drives to the bucket. The overtime period was the worst of it, but in my eyes they outperformed my expectations. I’m hoping for top performance in the conference
Watching them play was like watching a moderately poor high school game where players didn’t have a clue as to what they should be doing. I will not knock the coach right now, but there was a lot of problems that relate to coaching. Hope they can overcome these as the season progresses.
Second straight American foe for Campbell (0-1), which lost its opener at Tulane 74-72 on a last second basket by the Green Wave.
Our Ladies DO NOT know how to shoot a layup
Shooting is at 26% now. I think Campbell was heralded as a great defense. We are dominating the boards though
Touchdown lead for the Niners. ![]()
e class="onebox allowlistedgeneric" data-onebox-src="https://charlotte49ers.com/news/2025/11/5/womens-basketball-charlotte-hosts-campbell-on-thursday-night">The identity of Campbell is on the defensive side of the floor as they are the only program to be ranked in the Top 25 in scoring defense in eight of the last nine seasons.

CHARLOTTE – Charlotte Women's Basketball returns to action on Thursday (Nov. 6) when they host the Campbell Fighting Camels inside Halton Arena. Opening tip ...
Hard to watch these Ladies, play great one moment then next play like a poor high school team
