Good find Mr B. Isnโt that Tar Hole in the background a beautiful girl?
IIRC, Florida is an associate member of the AAC for this sport, so we might get to see a crackerjack matchup with the Gators.
We will share a conference with Florida and Vanderbilt. I think that USF is adding the sport this season.
Hereโs last yearโs standings:
It appears only the top 4 teams make the AAC tournament.
Furman 6
Niners 5
Found out today that Lacrosse is a hard game to watch because of the size of the ball. It has a 90 second shot clock and the game clock runs even after a goal. Substitution is ice hockey style with players running in and out while play continues. I have no idea how we did in the other (liberty) game. Furman and Liberty tied 8-8. Pretty rough heat today.
Edit: I think the clock ran even after goals today because it was an exhibition and the temperature on the field must have been close to 100 degrees. As far as I can tell, the clock in a game that counts will stop after a goal.
12-5 Liberty is what I heard.
Will this game be televised anywhere?
More importantly, will the Normbulance be there?
My understanding is that by scheduling this match prior to the Rice MBB game is the expectation that a number of fans will partake in a Saturday afternoon Niner dual sport outdoor-indoor doubleheader.
BTW, havenโt seen anything about TV for lacrosse.
My uneducated guess is that the match will be on espn +
