clt is concerned about the low release point on the jumper

Did the “#notcommitted” search and got quite a number of hits. Pretty much all the same - recruit pics with coach, family, etc.

The step back 3 definitely seems to be his signature move!

Not sure that we have offered. Looking through his Twitter account and no mention about that.

Well aint that just a big crock of sheite !

BTW, another big weekend of live events, including Phenom Hoops in Raleigh and Under Armour in Rock Hill. Not expecting us to offer any more 2023 HS hoopsters, but 2024 and beyond should be forthcoming.

His shot looks a little Threadgillish & definitely way low on the release

I am confused. Has Jackson signed with us or not?

Dishon Jackson and Dean Reiber have committed but nothing official yet concerning signing by either one.

Javon Jackson just completed a visit but haven’t seen anything about an offer by us or a commit by him.

Javon Jackson looks like a missing piece we need

I agree with that but are we just trying to replace the players lost so we finish middle of the conference pack next year?

We need several pieces and better ones at that under Ron’s system. For whatever reason Ron can’t make the tourney with players we think he should probable be able to make it with.

I have to like we got some bigger dudes. If you Ron is focused on playing half court defense with no fast breaks, then it makes more sense to pack in big dudes that can alter shots and rebound.

I agree. I think a rim protector & size has really been needed. How many times have our guards been beat on the perimeter & their guy goes straight to the rim for a layup. Hopefully Jackson is healthy & can help clean some of that up. Sounds like Reiber can play out on the perimeter & inside so he can help replace a little of what Aly did for us. Maybe with more playing time he will surprise us. Still need a guard. Would be nice to get one with some size but we’ll probably have to take what we can get. I’m not expecting much next season but the 2 we have added are better than I waa expecting to get from the portal.

Everything everyone is saying is just hopeful of being mediocre again.

And I don’t think we need a guard. We need a big wing / SF that can score from everywhere on the floor and doesnt disappear from game to game.

And then we need a coach who will actually play him and not bench him when he is hot.

Yeah, I agree. We lost 2 bigs and have three coming in. One of those is a zero star freshman that will likely redshirt. We gain a freshman that redshirted. Neither of the two big men are going to replace Aly as far as running the offense. If we sign this another guy like we all expect, unless he is the second coming we are no better off than we were this past season. I think we are worse.

We are just trying to get back what we lost here. We aren’t getting better.

I love the low expectations. Every year I give myself false hope. Not this year which gives me great optimism.

If not a great year next year, perhaps Mike already has his guy that has not been available until next year for one of many possible reasons.

The delay in change could be due multiple reasons. Don’t under value our transtion to the AAC.

Let’s trust and see what happens. Mike still has my confidence.
