Clayton Kershaw pulled from a PG?

Thoughts?

“The three-time Cy Young winner who previously threw a no-hitter on June 18, 2014.”

I’m not sure he even cares too much. I’d hope he have control over not being taken out though so maybe he agreed. If he had never thrown one I’d maybe think he woulda stayed in.

He was supposed to throw 80 pitches. He did. Too old to stress his previously injured arm. Correct, if unpoplular, decision. The adjective modifying “fun” is a ticket to Hell.

While correct that Kershaw threw a no hitter in 2014, he has never pitched a perfect game.

There have been 314 no hitters in MLB history. On 13 perfect games. Getting pulled while on route to a perfect game is kind of a big deal.

Did Kershaw have any say about being pulled? I’d think his career has earned him a say.

Man up and see if you have what it takes to pitch a no no.
They would have to drag me off the mound.

I know that the “analytically inclined” front offices in some organizations don’t let their managers manage anymore. Wonder if the edict came from up top.
