Find a Clemson bar and bring 30 Niners there to take it over. Picassoâs and maybe Belfast should have it on.
Free trial of YouTube TV. They just added it. And can cancel it after a week
âThe 49ers (2-1), members of Conference USA, are off to a solid start and are coming off a 52-17 victory against Massachusetts. It marked the most points Charlotte has scored against a Football Championship Subdivision opponent.â Of course, Umass is FBS Independent in football, not FCS.
Anyone use SlingTV know if ACC Network is in the Sports Extra package? Iâve read online that it is, but it doesnât show up in the packages on the Sling website.
Would like to watch the game without having to sign up for YouTubeTV and cancel again.
I have Sling Orange and the Sports Extra and I have it.
Where are you, Dave? They blacked me out last weekend in Greensboro. I tried and failed to watch the end of The Citadel game and it didnât work.
Stallings (just outside Matthews). I didnât try to watch that particular game though.
I have ACC Network on Hulu Live.
Healy as the guest.
Our football coach doing not just podcast interviews, but taking the time for an opponentâs podcast. What world is this?
Itâs a world in which weâre all savoring this historic occasion of our 7 year old football program playing the defending NCAA National Champions. Soak it in. We have little chance of winning, but this is NINER history, boys and girls. Enjoy.
Here is how it happens.
In 1981, Clemson, coming off a 6-5 season, wasnât expected to be anything spectacular. Or even competitive. Head coach Danny Ford was still new and had no accolades to his name. But, that wouldnât stop the Tigers from turning the college football world upside down by defeating three top ten teams, including defending national champion Georgia, on the way to the schoolâs first national title.
Clemson started the season unranked, but, after the Tigers upset the fourth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs 13-3, the voters started to take notice. Clemson would stay on a upward trajectory for the rest of the season, squeaking by No. 9 North Carolina 10-8 for their second victory over a top ten squad. Their third top 10 victory came in the Orange Bowl over No. 4 Nebraska to maintain their No. 1 ranking and become the Consensus National Champions.
I seriously doubt we win a shootout with them. They just have too many weapons for our defense to handle for 30-ish minutes of play. If we pull off a miracle here, it will be because we somehow keep the score low. Since both teams lean shootoutâŚ
I had this conversation yesterday. I believe the only chance to keep this game close (before thinking about the miracle) , is long sustained drives, small chunks at a time. Will require a lot of 3rd down conversions. Luckily, I believe this offense is built this way. I too believe/know Clemson will be able to move the ball and score with ease, likely big plays too. This way you will only need a handful of stops to stay close.
I think of how the cowboys beat the Saints last year when the saints were at peak form.
To have any chance to keep it close to competitive, this is the recipe. Iâd add at least two picks and a couple of big plays as well.
How about adding excellent special teams play.
Let this sink in - we are actually talking about how to keep it close with a slight expectation and hope that we can vs. the #1 team in the nation and defending champs. A year ago that would not be the case. 5 years ago we were still playing FCS games. 10 years ago we hadnât kicked off yet. 15 years ago we hadnât started the push for a team yet. 20 years ago we had an AD that declined to start a team when offered the chance. When or lose the game - Niner Nation is winning.
