I think recruits would look and think they can come in and play right away since the two bigs we have now cannot play. I think some people think if you have a 7ā player he should play. I have seen our two play and I think they are in the right place on the bench. Benas has had plenty of opportunities and it is not helping him improve enough to be a major or minor role player.
We had a big last year and look at the difference in our team, but he could pass and rebound like a machine. If you have the right big, then it takes away plenty of holes in the rest of the team.
I agree. I think in games he has really been given an opportunity to play, heās been āserviceableā. Should find a way to play him at least some minutes. Then again, if we win, hard to fault the staff.
Next year is, yes, the big question though. He can and probably should transfer next year given his limited opportunities here. If we use all our schollies for guys better than him, I have no problem with that. Given our track record and current recruits, I have serious doubts about our ability to do that.
Bad move by the coaching staff. How can you not playing him when the team canāt rebound. Iām losing any faith I had in this staff.
It obvious Price will play favorites. What if we bring in a great player, will he play him over Hudson?
Unless you are in the locker room before and after every game and at every practice, then nothing is obvious. Iām not sure why Benas doesnāt get more time, but neither are you. He has rarely looked good when he has played so keeping him on the bench may be the best option.

clt says beans is vastly underutilized. Nice touch, great hair, has length, and is agile.
we saw in the maryland game that benas has skills. at the very least, if you get that benas once every three games, he still helps us. the fact that he plays his son, who gives us nothing most of the time, but benches benas, worries me about his judgement.
i agree about price. i dont about benas. we have seen what he can do when he plays hard. he outplayed the um bigs. he has skills, price doesmnt.
Benas with the most impressive 12/5 game ever. We gotta calm down here, itās not like he went 20/20.

our offense was also much more efficient. we were able to play inside out, which we cant do otherwise so i dont think his contribution can be measured just by his numbers.
I will say this and it is true, against the best team they have played he had 12pt and 5 rbs.
Thatās a lot different than doing it against Southern Miss and North Texas. And against
WKU 2 games later he had 7 pts & 4rbs in only 15 minutes. Then this staff decided to
quit playing him. Now somebody tell me that this makes sense? Come on now!!!
The last 2 games he has had no wings so he had to play Hudson, Benas isnāt a wing. The pro Benas anti Price has gone much too far.
But he played Reid over Benas???

Its the only game he played over 15 minutes. Doing it against Maryland is more impressive than doing against the bottom of CUSA

Hook had 8 and 4 in 13 minutes against ODU before he got tossed, and he is about 6ā2".
