A man who robbed Blue Harbor Bank at 104 N. Statesville Road on Friday morning drove away at speeds of at least 150 mph in eluding police on westbound Interstate 485.
About 9 a.m., the man displayed a black handgun in the bank, demanded money and left in a light blue or gray Hyundai Sonata, police said. No injuries were reported at the bank, police said.
Of unknown race, the 6-foot-tall suspect was wearing a black trench coat with a hood, police said. Anyone with information should call Huntersville police Capt. Michael Kee at 704-875-6542.
