I’m pretty sure my Moe’s burritos were well over 2lbs.
For a limited time Moe’s had a grande burrito that was two tortilla shells side by side and rolled into one giant burrito. Size of a small baby. Time only allowed me to have three of them, but I was 3-0.
Johnny’s is always awesome, the Sabor Especial is awesome, especially with the shredded chicken. There is a food truck at a BP station on 115 in Huntersville that has a fat burrito ($13) with choices of more meats than most places. Delicious
In my experience, Salsarita’s is the stingiest
I really like the queso diablo sauce on Qdoba burritos
Chipotles are hard for me to get to. There are so many good alternatives. If they want more sales, they need to move closer to my home or work.
Hard to compete with queso diablo and spicy chicken at Qdoba for chain burritos. Independent burrito places usually the best choice for me.
The best burrito I’ve ever eaten was at Frontier in Albuquerque. Truly amazing and slathered in green chile. After eating them, though, it is important to find a bed with a bathroom close by for the remainder of the day.
clt’s best was in san diego
Where? I used to work in San Diego and may have shared an experience with you
This thread reminded me of a really good breakfast burrito I had in Morrison, CO… Think it was called a white cow. Pretty basic hashbrown / sausage / egg / cheese burrito, but big, and smothered in white sausage gravy. Delicious.
Still trying to find the perfect traditional burrito.
The Plaza Cafe in Santa Fe is a very very close second to Frontier. But they are close enough to each other that you just need to go to New Mexico and decide for yourself
Mexico Cafe in San Bernardino is delicious as well, just go before dark.
clt says it was somewhere in old town. few years ago
Agave? They make really good mole as well
Rhino Deli at Morehead and Freedom has an excellent breakfast burrito
clt loves that you can add eggs to a normal and it becomes a breakfast
