clt polls you about our potential new home, the SEC

clt says vote early and often.

Clt forgot the “never in a million years” option.

It doesn’t matter. The “1-3 years” option is tied for first with the “3-5 years” option, both with 40% of the votes. I guess that makes it official. We are SEC bound, and at some time within the next 1-5 years. A big Thanks goes out to clt for quickly getting us into the SEC.

clt says the poll has no flaws.

Jficket Never in a million years implies 1 million and 1, which is over 5 years.

I’m going to start a pregame thread for our upcoming home game against Auburn.

Do we know if it will be played on campus or downtown?

Maybe we should consider bringing in extra toilets for BoA Stadium. ;D

I just finished up gradschool at Mississippi State, so I’d be very happy to see us in the SEC, but I just don’t see it happening. The SEC really has no reason to expand. It’s really up to the Big 12 now. There’s no telling where conferences will be in 10 years, but I certainly don’t see this happening in the next 5 years.

The SEC hasn’t shown any real interest in adding a team just because it taps into a new media market. I think we’re more likely to get tapped by the Big 12 than the SEC, and that I still see that as highly unlikely. Cincinatti and Memphis are currently more desireable in this neck of the woods.

We need to focus on winning in CUSA now. We are blessed to be in such a great city with a large media market, but this is not Chicago or Houston, we have to win to put ourselves in the same conversation as teams like Memphis and Cinci.
