Fluff piece that inadvertently exposes Dean Smith’s repeated willingness to expolit or bend the rules to win at any cost. The gold is in the comments.

This is hearsay, by definition, but interesting nonetheless… the player is likely Hunter Furr, (transferred from CHeat to ECU) but not confirmed.
"Man, after Butch Davis left and having to speak with SBI agents about the whole scandal...I wanted nothing more than to get out of that situation. Whatever you heard is all true. The AFAM no-show classes, the sports agents, the cash money underhand...ALL that...and as far as I know from my friends still there, they haven't stopped. I'm just glad I came here and got a real degree before I finished college because I ain't getting any NFL money if you know what I mean"
lulz at the bolded part.

What does this tarhole promo article have to do with the subject of this thread? I just added to the click count of the article when I thought I would be seeing more condemning evidence against the holes. I should have known better when I saw the Observer was the source of the story.

UNC-CH has done everything under its power to withhold information.
These reports of fake classes have been out for a looooog time now. Due process, my ass. There is only foot dragging and the hope that it will all blow over. NCAA really sucks.

This is old… just posted it as a reminder that there was a lot of other b.s. going on… agents, cash payments, cars, faking learning disabilities, etc

Who??? Me??? Where did you get such a ridiculous idea like that?
This is not a particularly interesting blog posting, but I loved the title: Carolina Blue(s). :))
CHeat forced to disclose names of employees being terminated over scandal. Still withholding names of those being disciplined:

I’m sure whoever gets “released” will get a nice severance package and behind the scenes arrangements to work at another university.
Apparently, some of these folks were fired in October, and just decided they didnt feel like leaving… still at their jobs this week.
Jan Boxill was seated at Chancellor Folt’s table at a schol event as recently as last week, IIRC. Both smiling and getting along…
Then this:
Just fired McMillan was member of Fac Exec Comm that issued statement supporting Boxill in '13. Corruption runs deep.
These people weren’t fired for doing anything wrong. The CHeat administration has no desire to fire them. They were “fired” as scapegoats to appease the masses and hopefully prevent folks from digging any deeper. The corruption is absolute and ongoing.

Yep. The “school” and the “athletic programs” will suffer very little from this because of who they are. Many other schools’ athletic programs would be shut down and the academic side would lose accreditation, but not crapple hole. ???
If the NCAA ever takes action, how long do you think it will be before something happens.
The flaw in this hypothetical is the high improbability of the first part places the second part beyond imaginative consideration.
CHeat had asked for and received a one week postponement on their reply due to SACS. That extended deadline is tomorrow, the 12th. Stay tuned for a truckload of BS departing from the Carrboro area.

Thanks for sharing those links.
Can SACS probation result in any financial penalties? Anyone know?
I loved the call for UNC Cheat to self vacate wins. Why they haven’t done so boggles my mind. It’s not going to cost them anything but pride.

I’m sorry, but have you met a UNC-Cheat fan? For them, it’s all about the pride. It’s obviously not about the honor or dignity.
(I’ll disclaimer this with the statement that most actual Chapel Hill alums I know are generally disgusted with the way their university has won these games, then tried to cover up the cheating.)
