Trying to get this back on track.
Have there been any injuries reported in camp yet?

We are losing the end zone seats to build a new end zone facility on the north end. I imagine we may do exactly what you did for temp seats. If Charlotte sells out your allotment and demand is there I could see us adding temp seats somewhere and If Charlotte returns part of their allotment then we may have enough to meet demand from App fans. I expect this will be an important ticket next year for us and we may end up charging a bit extra ourselves much as you have done this year. App’s other OOC home game next year is ETSU and that has history but nothing to raise ticket prices.
OK, I have yet to see anyone win a smack fest by typing so I’ll stop. I will make an observation or 4.
App is excited to play this game. We don’t get excited playing the Louisiana or Texas schools…too far for the fan base to travel. Because of the proximity of both and interactions of the fan bases it has great potential to become a rivalry. Yes we consider you the upstart than needs a good whipping and y’all are envious of our success and yearn to embarrass the hell out of us.
One of you made note of potential. Every school in the state winced when you got a team. The growth of UNCC is impressive and the money allocated and raised (academic and athletic)is something we are envious of.
Charlotte has the potential to be the dominant program in the state. That is the fear. Location central to both Carolinas even raises concerns with USC and Clemson. Will that potential be realized? The right coach may be the only barrier you have right now… with better recruiting.
Were it not for the 3 FCS championships and especially the victory over Michigan in 2007 With Coach Moore followed by Satterfield we could have fallen off like Georgia Southern did.
Right now we have the cred. Time will tell if you can realize your potential. Sept 8 is important for both.
See, this is how you come onto an opponent’s board, and make a sane, respectful and rational case for both team’s places in the football universe, and the importance of this game to it. I have no doubt that @BigDave13 wants App to grind us into the turf, but he is polite enough to not bring that up. I feel fairly sure his penis is not nearly as small as @Runt’s–not that I am thinking about that, or want to know–but you can just tell.
clt is already there

This needs to be a Rivalry Week game, year in/out. I’d love to see us boot GA State from the schedule and replace that series with App indefinitely.
If we play App it should be early in the season. It is miserably cold in Boone late in the football season.
It really doesn’t start to get THAT cold until late December/January. We usually get our first snow flurry around Halloween but the consistently cold temps usually aren’t there for football season.

clt says bless their hearts. it is price gouging, no gauging.
I just hope we lose enough to be looking for a new coach. I cannot fathom trying to climb a mountain with Lambert as the Sherpa.
Doesnt help us to correct it on your board clt…you need to correct us on our board. But we thank you for your visit.
clt doesn’t want to reveal clt’s handle on your chat page
I would love to see us eventually schedule this on rivalry weekend for college football (end of November?) since CUSA doesn’t seem to schedule games in this way. It would help to see Charlotte as a program participate by playing an App or ODU every year on this weekend.
clt would prefer to play odu
Considering what App did to them twice, ODU would prefer to play us too.
I picked up my 16 tickets this morning at the will call at Halton. Took a few minutes to drive around campus. A sh*tload of building going on. I forgot how much FLAT land the campus had and the facilities sans football are top drawer. I’ll say pretty impressive campus. Biggest downside i saw is it takes a week to walk around campus and there is nothing around the school except apartments. Pretty sterile environment around campus. If you could only carve out a piece of land to build some bars it would be golden!!
With light rail running onto campus it is no longer the need it once was to have bars and such around campus. Hopping the train will get you any kind of bar ya want. I used to lament the area around campus too, but the rail has really changed that dynamic.
Also there is a service to shuttle you around campus because it is quite large
That might be true for late night/weekends, but the convenience of a great bar right next to campus can’t be beaten if you don’t want to go out of your way to uptown, noda or plaza.
People ride the train every day, it isn’t just a weekend toy. A cool bar or district close to campus would be awesome and prior to light rail was really needed because traffic can suck. With the rail there now though it is less of a concern. Part of the reason campus has been able to be the size it is is because it was unhindered by nearby towns or development, thats the price for being able to grow like we have while still being in a major metro area. Light rail will continue to spur development and the area will transform. It is drastically different now than it was 20 years ago and 20 years from now I bet it will be just as different.
