Clt starts the super bowl for the appys week chat page

Wikipedia appears to say that KBS has 21,650 permanent seats now that they have torn down the North End Zone, plus they have the hill–which are not seats. Their stadium looks more than 6000 seats larger than ours because of the upper decks, but I guess they do not have seats in their end zone like we do. Just the visual of having the upper decks tells me that The Rich is going to look huge compared to how it looks today when we expand.

All of the adults were great that I met on Saturday and Sunday before I left town and told us how much we had improved. We saw some students in town after the game at a restaurant that had been drinking and they were great and even admitted that they thought they were going to win by 50.

Some students walking up to the Hill to the stadium before the game made a few comments, but that is expected in my mind from 20 yr olds that have already had a few to drink.

I think that for the most part Charlotte and App get along well and figure we may end up in the same conference at some point if one of us does not move up to AAC. All of the App fans were upset with the new coach and the defense that Roof is playing since this is first time in 30 yrs that Moore or one of his assistants is not coaching App

I was really surprised I did not hear more shit talk from the tweetsieites, especially the drunk ones. I think I just lucked out, cause I’m sure there was plenty before and after the game. Glad I didn’t hear it.

On another note: even though we lost, I think they were surprised we hung with them as well as we did. I also think it crossed their minds (if they are honest) that we’re beginning to make a move up in recruiting and as a result in the quality of our program. Yes, be afraid, mountain folk, be very afraid. We’re on the move up.

There was at least one semi-obnoxious App fan in sec 114. I don’t know why someone that avid a fan doesn’t get a ticket in the home section. Overall, we had a good time.

I must say that I was very surprised how nice all the App fans were to us. It might have been because I had young kids with me, but the worst I heard were a few ā€œCharlotte Sucks!ā€ walking to the stadium. Several App fans went out of their way to compliment us after the game. We were pretty much surrounded by green in the upper sections so it might have been a different experience for those sitting on the hill.

The worst I saw were the drunk App students on the hill flipping off our team as they were leaving the stadium at halftime.

I’ll agree with that.

It is beyond stupid that app sells season tickets in the visitors section. It literally perpetuates the stereotype that Boone is a challenge to get to.
