Looks like we’ll need to break out the checkbook for two head coaches.

Charlotte Brad Lambert $250,000 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6171110

Old info. Salary is more than 2x that now.

That said, Holliday is much higher now too.

He should still be in the lower half of paid cusa coaches until we begin to actually compete and have success right?

Was there an announcement of this?

Doubt there was an announcement. Would be odd to announce someone’s pay has changed.

Head coaches contract renegotiations typically are considered news worthy, especially for state employees.

LAMBERT, BRAD L UNC-CHARLOTTE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH ATHLETICS ADMIN/SUPPORT $253,000

He was never going to see his state pay increase for moving to fbs anyway. That’s going to come from other funds.

I don’t doubt him but there should be some announcement on this. He’s a public employee, his pay rate is public knowledge and it looks plain bad to have the “official” pay of our head football coach seem to be the lowest in the conference.

The highest “other pay” listed in the conference is only $11,010 a year.

We didn’t lengthen the contract and we aren’t paying the additional money with state funds.

Besides the contract is available publicly for anyone that cares

We don’t have any proof he can compete as a coach in FBS. He didn’t even prove he could in FCS.

Although, yes, we will need to pay more for an FBS quality coach. Is anyone sure that is Lambert?

I think it’s fair for him to be paid less currently. Once he does something, I think it’s fair for him to get a substantial boost, too.

Someone has to request it through the schools legal dept. that is what I did to get major’s contract. I don’t care enough to go thru process for lambert.

Non state sources. Look up Roy or Fedora or any other coach on salary database. Won’t be close to what they really make.

Based on the link that is also only the 2013-2014 salaries. If I am not mistaken the contract could be redone after two years.
