There’s always going to be Lutz bashers. I really don’t understand it… If you want to say something bad about him, do it on another site.

However, as much as I like Bobby and as much as he exceeded everyone’s expectations, I don’t think he should be COY…
maybe next season :tongue:

The Lutz haters have just as much right to spout their side as we do ours. It does relate to Charlotte, so it is welcome. Plus, i think it'd be kind of boring without that level of debate on here.

I could see him being considered for conference COTY merely for the fact that the team exceeded even the media and the other conference coaches predictions, and for the defensive improvement, but that is about it. Our team would need to show more consistancy and have a strong finish for Bobby to truly have a chance at the award, and rightly so. You can’t start to fade close to voting time and expect people to remember what you did at the beginning of the season. Plus, you must beat the teams you are supposed to beat, and not have multiple super bad losses.

Fran Dunphy should get it, and if he doesn’t I will seriously be surprised.

I’m so sick of these excuses people come up with to make them optimistic about “next year” (There’s always next year!).

Cool fact - so we got brand new D1 players to the NIT. It doesn’t matter.

These are players recruited by Bobby Lutz. They are Bobby Lutz’s players. Bobby Lutz’s players and his coaching are not making it to the NCAA Tournament, period.

Sean Miller got it. It was very well deserved. He may end up at IU next season.
