:lmao: well, yes and no.... Imagine a long running word document. That is there message board. You don't even have to have a password to post so you can be anyone you want to be, including mimicking their posters... It's a joke really, but here is the link. Nothing too interesting really. They seem like they were done with the season a few weeks ago. That's right. I remember from last year.
I think Hobbs got mad when we had those two full-court passes for easy lay-ups in the final minute, instead of holding the ball and letting them foul us. To me, it was smart for our guys to do this knowing that free throws are not a strong point and the game was still not won. Then on the last play, Hobbs mimicked Lutz when he was yelling at the players to watch the shot clock. We had to take a shot or get a violation and Hobbs appeared to take it as us running up the score.
After the game, during Lutzā remarks, Hobbs was at the other side of the court with the GW radio guys probably doing a quick interview and proceeded to walk out the opposite tunnel to leave the court.
I donāt think it was running the score up, but I would have loved to see a time out so Lee could sub out and Phaler in.
Hobbs is a tool - what a poor sport. If the shoe had been on the other foot, Iām sure he wouldāve acted like an even bigger ass. Hobbs is a cheater and a tool. Letās not forget his very unethical if not illegal recruiting and manipulation of transcripts of a few years back.
Iāve always disliked Hobbs. I sat pretty close to him last night, and that only reinforced my opinions. He was yelling and screaming at his assistants about something towards the end of the game, maybe within the last 5 minutes. I noticed several times that he would yell or whistle while we were shooting FTās. What an a$$ā¦

I hope thatās not what Hobbs was complaining about. Itās hard to say a team is trying to run it up on you when youāre still pressing full court.
Confirmed. I was behind the cheerleaders so Hobbs' back was to me. But it looked like Hobbs was staring at Bobby as GW basically gave up and we got like 6 easy fast break points. Bobby saw Hobbs staring and raised his arms in the air, eyes got wide, and I believe he said, "What the &*$# are you looking at?" and then Hobbs smirked at him and turned around shaking his head. I thought Bobby was going to clothes line him when they went to shake hands.
I love this game!!! AHHH!!!
I think it was Jim Celania I heard this morning on WFNZ on the way in to work. He asked what kind of a handshake that was at the end of the game, between Hobbs and Bobby Lutz. Said it was more like a āfly byā! I was at the game, but didnāt see it until I saw the news last night. It was hard to tell if they even touched. I wasnāt even aware of a problem at the game, but I miss alot anyway. If GW could have run up the score, Iām sure they would have. Hec, we were almost tied with 3:00 to go. It still wasnāt as much of a margin as the season high of 17 at the Saint Louis University game. We may still meet GW again in the tourney.
Between the close games with them since we joined the A10,
their president/chancellor/whatever he is taking swipes at us
Hobbs being a total dickā¦
ā¦is it safe to say GW is quickly becoming the new Cincinnati?
Who thinks that the Atlantic 10 made a mistake when they didnt put us up against GW in the home away series every year?
This was one more game in which they proved that mistake. I hope they have some crazy information about how Richmond is going to be a hardcore rival of ours and they are going to be top team in the league next year and years to come⦠bc I feel like they are really pushing richmond on us⦠but right now, I just dont see it.

Totally disagree.
Richmond is finishing the season strong after losing 6 of its first 10 games. They have finally adjusted to their Princeton system, Mooney may win conference coach-of-the-year, they beat us twice, and their young nucleus (star sophomore Gonzo, probable rookie-of-the-year K.A., Butler, athletic Kevin Smith, and an incoming frosh center) has quite a bit of talent. Richmondās recent history (exluding the past two years) has shown that they are normally an NCAA tournament threat.
George Washington, on the other hand, seems like a collection of 6ā7" slashers that have no direction. I donāt know if they have anyone on their roster that can fill Carl Elliot & (the old) Maureece Riceās shoes. This could be the 1st year in a cycle of bad years for them.

Its hard to deny though that they feel like our biggest rivalry within the a10. Sure X, joes and temple are big bc of their history and/or good squads - but it always seemed the most hyped anyone would get (assuming none of the other teams were ranked) come conference time was the GW game. Hasānt that game always been televised at least somewhere?
Maybe richmond wasnt the right team to refer to there - maybe we should have dropped fordham? I can see richmond due to their location, and I agree they are getting stronger - weāll see how it all pans out I guess
I see so many people saying I hope bobby is back next yearā¦wasnāt it like two weeks ago people were talking about not having bobby back next year? I have always supported him and I love his excitement like thelew and I talked about on the way to columbiaā¦he has a passion about Charlotte that someone who didnāt go to school here will not have. Recruits well and he had a down year last year and he showed this year that he will battle back through recruitingā¦If we would have renewed his contract after last season we would have had TWO virginia tech recruits coming to charlotte. Victor Devilia (spelling sucks) told one of his AAU teammates I know that he liked charlotte just didnt want to go and have the head coach leave the year that he comes or his freshman yearā¦Renew it and lets get another dynamite juco duo

Those were the guys that clime out from under their rocks every time we lose. They start the threads before the buzzer even sounds but never show up after a victory. Just ignore them.

A- welcome to NNN
B- you mean Mox and Dalonte recruited well
C- the third hand info on Devilla is shaky IMO
D- Lutz needed to show this year that things were back in order- which he has
Lutz needed to show this year that things were back in order- which he has
He has done very well IMO, seeing that he has so many newcomers. We need to finish better as I saw 21/29 games this year are decided by 7 points or less. In those games we have been 11-10. But,. I like where itās heading.
