Coach Moxley

That's interesting to hear. I didn't know that.

I was pretty upset to see Melvin go. I really liked him, and still do.

Hopefully he’ll get another shot somewhere soon. He deserves one. I think A&M is just a job that would be very difficult to build a winner at.

Keeping it in house is the best way to do things.

Bobby was hired as an assistant by Jeff Mullins for his last season, not Melvin. I always think that we should look to hire the best available coach. If they are an Alumnus that is icing on the cake, but past performance would count more with me.

anyways we are much better off with lutz.

amen

I disagree with some of you guys about Benny. He’s had success as an assistant wherever he’s been at. His teams at Henderson State went 47-18 when he was their winning their first regular season and conference championship. With Bobby at Pfeifer they were 50-14, the year after Bobby left they went 21-8 and went to the tourney. Benny Moss can flat out coach. He almost landed us Wafer before anybody else even knew about him. He’s an excellent scout, a studious film watcher and he can get across to his players. I think he’d do fine filling Moxley’s shoes if Moxley bolts.

I don’t know how melvin was treated and how that played into it. But if i was Bobby i can honestly say that building a program is more rewarding than jumping to the highest bidder. I would not leave for a little extra money. We can run through the a-10 if we keep recruiting at the same level. Plus with the new cba the nba might get an age limit, that has to help with beasly. Plus withers has a shot at national player of the year next season, considering that 2 of them have come from the a-10 recently.

I believe Kummer will be a head coach one day.
