Is it just me or did Coach Moxley seem to be a bit “animated” last night? With Tennesee, Virginia and possibly State looming in Bobby’s future, it almost seems like Moss is auditioning for the job. He just seems more vocal and boistrous here lately.

[/b]Normmm sits next to me and mentioned the exact same thing back during the Cinci game. Could be, but also I think that these are his guys (he recruited most of them) and they are finally doing what they're capable of. Certainly, Moxley and Moss would be interested in taking over if Bobby left.
All of our coaches and guys sitting out this year were going nuts last night. I saw that we brought in BIG Washington (first name escapes me) to assist last night.

Moxley has interviewed for a few head positions but wasn’t selected. I know he interviewed at High Point 2 years ago before Bart Lundy (Queens) got the position.

Trust me, Bobby will not be leaving Charlotte. I get this from a very reliable source.

Sounds familiar…I remember Lutz raising hell as an assistant when Melvin was a head coach.
It would be Orlando Early or Moxley. We need to keep it in house!

I don’t think melvin showed the same passion and loyalty for charlotte that Lutz has. Lutz loves this school, Melvin bolted for A&M as fast as he could, wonder what he is doing now?

Melvin didn’t bolt. He was offered a raise of about 3 times his salary. What would you have done? And don’t fib, Santa is watching.

After leading his team to the 77 final four, he spent 18 years on our bench waiting for the head coaching job. When the time final came and Mullins recommended Melvin, the school went ahead and tried to hire Mike Jarvis away from GW. We only gave the job to Melvin after Jarvis publicly embarrassed us telling the Observer that our head coach was right under our nose in Melvin.
I don’t blame him for leaving. Bobby was brought in under Melvin because it was well known that Watkins would leave given the opportunity and the school wanted Lutz to take over…
I don’t know that if we had immediately given Melvin the job when Mullins retired if he’d stuck around. A&M offered him a boat load more money and it’s very hard to turn that down.
Personally I would really have liked to see him succeed there.

He sat on our bench for 18 years disregarding other assistans jobs that paid twice what he made. I know for certain that he took it very personally when we tried to overlook him.

It certainly didn't add up to the $586K he got from A&M in salary alone.
