I heard a from a source that Tremaine might not be with the team at all, we do have an abundance of recruited guards that will be out there for Dijuan to play against, especially since he's now been cleared to play.
Your source is correct, there is also another D2 post player here taking summer classes and talking to the coaching staff about walking on.

by d2 post player, do you mean he played d2 and transferred here or he is a d2 quality player. either way, it never hurts to have some extra big guys.
i think i figured out who the player is. shane williams who played for victory christian. i remember that there was some discussion about him a couple of years ago and he got some good writeups and is supposed to be a freak athlete.

I saw where Colby is walking on rather than go schollie at D2 or D3. That might give us the edge to sign his brother, Tyler.
What I don’t understand is that the paper says they live in Statesville, but go to Forsyth Country Day. Who drives 2 counties away to high school? That’s got to be a pain in the a55 5 times a week to drive from Statesville to Winston & back.
Montreat isn’t D2 and their level of bball is far below the D2 schools we’re all familiar with. Montreat is located near me and while it is college bball it is FAR and I mean FAR from Charlotte. I’ve seen them play several times and I’ve never seen a guy that starts there that could get a single minute at Charlotte. Good for him and he’ll be a solid practice player but don’t count on him getting minutes.

Please see my other post on the Lewis boys.
If Kid is a player, hope this isn’t a CJ, Chris Leak deal. UT pissed the family off and Chris went to UF.

Statesville to Lewisville, where FCDS is located is about 30 minutes. Not that big a deal.
But seriously, I wish the best of luck for walk-ons. They’re doing it because they love the game.
I’m not insinuating that he was a great player. I do think he has a lot of heart and desire to improve his game though. I was just saying that for team practices and such, this could be a free replacement. Our starters may see some smaller sized centers and power forwards playing the 5, it can’t hurt to practice against someone who fits that mold.

My best friend lived in Troutman and went there. Took over an hour to get to school everyday.
Great move for Colby, and I’m really happy for him. I’ve had a good number of interactions with him, and he’s truly a great guy.
Congrats on the new gig, Colby!
