Good olā Turdville!
clt asks who dat?

The write up about the clearing house is very disturbing.
Every NIL deal over 600 bucks has to be approved?
They will spend more analyzing the deal than the deal is worth.
And the line about determining fair market value???
The market determines what is fair.
Not some arbitrary ruling from a clearing house.
What are they going to do? Stifle the earnings of the next Caitlin Clark?
Itās a bunch of BS
The clearinghouse guidelines will likely be challenged in court. Lawyers on both sides will be laughing all the way to the bank.
My question is, how does Navy and Army get affected by this? They donāt do NIL. Do they just get a pass?
They will get a pass. They are bigger than the AAC.
My question is how do you enforce an NIL floor?
NIL is name image and likeness.
Itās supposed to be market driven.
Edit.
That was published back in July. I donāt think that idea gained any traction. It made no sense.
That was also before the house revenue sharing plans (that are of course based on a non settled court case that will not preclude other lawsuits).
The whole thing is a house of cards.
At some point I want UNC Charlotte to step away from this crap.
New division. Something.
If a player has an offer to play football at Tulane and they can offer them more money due to the NIL floor, why would they go to a place like Troy? Itās an interesting question and one that likely canāt be answered without the help of the NCAA and a legal team.
clt says that is not an interesting question or relevant. that is like turning down margot robbie for amy schumer
Ohio State supposedly has a $20 million roster and still canāt beat Michigan at home. All that money and they canāt beat their rival at home in a down year for Michigan. Wonāt make the Big 10 title game and who knows where they are seeded in the playoff.
Texas A&M has all the money in the world and that money canāt buy them jack. Finish the season with a mediocre record and play poorly in one of the biggest home games ever vs your hated rival.
