The whole college sports world is on fire. Killing my interest in college sports. Why would I ever ādonateā to help pay some kid millions for a year? Donāt tell me it is all coming from tv revenue. It is all a shell game with the money. If I was a student paying fees I would be pissed.
Just saw that Toppin is signing for $4,000,000 for Texas Tech next season.

Why go pro?
Makes sense being a projected late first round and more likely second round pick in 2025. Stay another year and increase your draft stock.
Itās going to be interesting to see the dynamics when the NFL and the NBA realize college sports arenāt feeder leagues anymore they are competition.
When does the NFL start wanting to put games on Saturdays in September and October? When do both leagues drop age restrictions?
Toppin would have to almost be picked lottery to make more.
Yep. Whatās going to be interesting what really happens when the rev share cap kicks in. BYU has reportedly āspentā $10M on just two of their 2025-26 hoopsters.
They do cut players. Thatās why coaches donāt want scholarships that exceed one academic year.
And the cap kicks in on July 1st pending approval of House, which looks very certain following the recent hearing in Oakland.
Of course Baker is intentionally obscuring the facts.
Going to be interesting to see who blinks first. Nico wants $4m NIL and TN has offered $2.4m. TN says they are not moving from their offer. Insane!!
This will keep escalating, itās not (1) year contracts and unlimited free agency, itās 1/2 year. No sports organization on the planet operates this way. To renegotiate at the end of spring is wild.
I know the Jay Bilases of the world donāt think this is hurting the sport, but they sadly mistaken. If he returns itāll be interesting to see the fan reaction after the first pick.
I am so tired of the Coaches can leave so why not the players stance. Coaches sign a 5 year contract with a buy out that helps the school when they leave.
A little late on this.
100% agree with you. You know who the biggest schmucks are? the parents, like most of us here, paying full tuition for our kids to go to these schools, which part of that tuition goes to pay for scholarships for these kids making millions each year. This whole setup seems like the biggest Ponzi scheme ever, making Madoff feel proud.
How can I pay a player to mow and trim my yard? I was thinking like $50
