Of course it is!

Let’s remember the only reason we have so many Olympic sports is title IX.

Which I don’t have a problem with except there was no carve out for sports not traditionally played by women like football and wrestling.

I will be shocked if the NCAA does not drop the requirement for 16 sports to a lower number so schools can reduce costs.

This is going to be fun to watch. If Wisconsin owns his NIL, does Miami have to pay Wisconsin to have his name on the back of the jersey, appear at Miami events, etc? What are the implications beyond the football field? Is he allowed to have his face on the player introductions they do the first series of each game?

Absolutely insane. No doubt they are moving finds from media deals and such to NIL payments revenue share and have to make up that loss of revenue in the budget.

This sarcastic post by New Mexico sports beat writer Geoff Grammer is a reminder that less than a week after former Mizzou hoopster John Tonje had announced his commitment to the Lobos in April 2024, Wisconsin “flipped” him. Named 2025 first team Big Ten as well as second team All American. Projected a likely NBA draft pick.
