This is all horse manure. They claim to be operating like businesses but every real business is able to reduce costs when needed and they don’t get money from the sky via donations and student fees.
The whole thing stinks to high heaven.
I’m not sure which is more offensive.
Big student fees at the less well funded schools or small student fees and the rich schools.
At some point is a major D1 program going to peace out? I’m a little shocked it hasn’t happened yet.

Exactly. They have no choice if they want to compete and that is just the beginning.
clt is hearing news out of bama. freshman are being kicked out of dorms so that athletes can stay there after a fire destroyed athlete housing. freshman are encouraged to join greek life for housing

There is actual news out of Tuscaloosa - University of Alabama just hired a new president who has been serving as a VP at Ohio State University.
So I’ve been crazy busy lately - but meant to ask if someone had any insight on what Fred Smith’s passing might have on FedEx’s continued support of Memphis athletics? Very sorry for his loss, but I imagine that was one of the first thoughts Tiger fans had, and brings into question Oregon 's situation with Phil Knight.
