When does the NCAA rewrite the D1 regulations to lower the number of required sports?
I think the bigger question is when is the first major Title IX suit going to be filed?
Canāt they avoid that by keeping the cuts evenly distributed between menās and womenās sports?
Title 9 says it has to be even but I donāt think it demands any minimum number of sports.
See that one of the Razorbacks affected is a transfer from Charlotte.

JAY BILAS SAID THIS WOULDNāT HAPPEN.
Usually when a conference stops sponsoring a sport itās because there arenāt enough league members participating to meet the NCAA minimum for that particular sport. Which is exactly whatās happened here. Directly related to the fact that 4 Big West members are leaving due to accepting invitations to the Mountain West and West Coast conferences, respectfully. This would have occurred regardless of NIL.

I know this is a selective comparison but Iām starting to come around a bit on this point. College is insanely expensive. I think that the value of an education is being sorely underestimated in the current NIL environment. I have to be honest - I think there are a lot more players who donāt really deserve (much) more (if any) than that. Itās fair compensation for quite a large portion of them.
You aināt kidding. Iāll have two in college starting in the fall. No NIL. lol ![]()

This has nothing to do with the topic, but itās worth noting that Dan is the older brother of former Niner baseball player and current San Francisco Giants prospect, Nate Furman.
