Read that article. The way the contract was written he was never going to see all that money. Of course, a moot point anyway since he ended up at Arizona State.
Iām still expecting some schools to bounce from D1 because of this. At some point itās going to hurt their academic reputation and theyāre going to cut bait.
Wouldnāt be shocked if they just go D3.
Or even lower:
Why donāt they ask Bernie for money?
Which team is most likely to bounce out of FBS because of NIL first?
- Cal
- Stanford
- Vanderbilt
- Rice
- Northwestern
- Duke
- Buffalo
- Rutgers
- Georgia Tech
- Purdue

Yep, Vandy going to say no to that annual $50M paycheck from the SEC.
Difficult choice but Iād lean Cal because the place is full of faux ārevolutionariesā.
I could see this one getting eaten by a herd of alligators - on land, with selfie phone recording it all
Here is your 7 degrees from Olivia Dunne. Oliviaās teamate is Haleigh Bryant from Hough ( Cornelius) and Haleighās Mom is one of our own. A former Niner softball player whom my wifeās sister played with at Charlotte. Haleigh is one of the top gymnasts in the country. Big time talent.
Bryant made her NCAA debut in a meet against Arkansas where she recorded the highest all-around score.[9] She earned her first perfect ten on vault in a meet against Missouri on March 3.[10]
At the SEC Championships Bryant won the vault title and helped LSU finish second as a team behind Alabama.[11] At the NCAA Championships semi-finals Bryant won the vault title alongside Anastasia Webb; additionally she placed fifth in the all-around and on balance beam
As always, good stuff:
Weāre going to have to create an Olivia Dunne thread since Iām guessing that these NY Post pieces have nothing to do with NIL!
We could have a generic one for her and all the other instafacers if we could just come up with an appropriately funny titleā¦she has her Zoolander blue steel look down. Wonder if she has to stretch for that too?
clt says she is winning the NIL game
I think @NinerWupAss said it best:
Why even have eligibility at this point? If they arenāt amateurs and it isnāt tied fully to education, then why should anyone have to leave after 4 years?
