Secondarybreak.com: Things heating up in Charlotte

No love for the Niners in there. I know people don’t expect a whole lot out of us, but seriously, we don’t even have a possible contender for POY? Come on. This guy did no research on us or new recruits.

Also, I’m not high on GW like everyone else seems to be.

A10 Coaches and Media said: Eigth place. Wrong. GW won 17 games last year and didn't have guard/forward Lasan Kromah who made the All Rookie team two years ago and averaged 11.8 points. Maybe the Colonials lost favor because of a coaching change, but GW returns four starters on a team that won 17 games and adds a quality forward back into the fold; eighth doesn't add up to me.

It seems strangely familiar: A 19 17 win season with a new coach and they will go up in ranking. Things that make you say hmmmm…

I could see GW going down some too with the new coach, though if Kromah is back to what he was pre-injury, they’ll have more options on offense and a lot more depth than the Niners did last year.

I also think the Bonnies are getting a little overrated. Nicholson is good, but they really didn’t impress me much in the Niner game. Took some of the most blatant homecooking I’ve seen to beat a subpar Niner team, and they have to improve with a brand new point guard who may or may not be any good and a still relatively thin bench. The more I think about them, the more I think teams will figure out how to contain Nicholson and shut down everyone else.

I could see Richmond being better than expected too even while losing top players, their bench players last year were pretty good.

Derrio Green makes the SG list!
