Poor little DOMINATE SEC. They have to watch the P4 National Championship from home.
It’s all because the CFP is rigged against the SEC. If they would select 12 SEC teams for the playoff this would never happen.
Winning solves a lot of problems. 7-0 after 1 play.
There seem to be conspiracy theories and accusations of Indiana cheating the system (I’m not saying you’re saying that). But I don’t get it.
That’s an interesting take. Did you grow up in Ohio or a Notre Dame fan?
One thing that seems apparent from the playoffs isn’t the “rich getting richer” off NIL. It seems more of who has a the uber rich booster. Oregon/Phil Knight, TT/Cody Campbell, Indiana/Mark Cuban, John Ruiz/Miami. T Boone Pickens passed away too soon. ![]()
Just the opposite, grew up in Charlotte and sent one son thru Vanderbilt and another thru Georgia. Just seen too much arrogance in the way the SEC thinks they are so much better than the other conferences. Regardless, I still pull Vandy and Georgia when they play anyone other than Charlotte.
Definitely makes the take more interesting. If you go back over the last ~30 seasons, the SEC won 18 NC, amongst 8 schools. The B10 is next with 6 among 3 schools. Then the ACC with 5 among 3 schools. There’s not really any question the SEC has been the best football conference.
Just found it interesting you would single out the SEC, when all 4 of the P4 conferences are trying to do the same thing. If anything, the B10 wants more automatic qualifiers when the playoffs expand to 16. The SEC doesn’t.
SEC doesn’t believe they need them. Despite not winning in years, they still get more teams in than anyone else.
Agree all four are doing the same thing, however the SEC has been much more aggressive in their approach and visibility. Maybe it because I live smack in the middle of SEC country and that is the perception they put up front.
