The title may be to vague but for two weeks universities across the state have an opportunity to host the David Glen radio show. This year for the 1st time Charlotte will participate. Our day is this Friday from 12-3pm. David Glen is a state wide show on numerous stations from the coast to the mountainsā¦ In the Raleigh/Durham area itās on 99.9FMā¦

This guy is on the UNC CHeat payroll. The biggest apologist for their decades of transgressions. The one time I actually listened to him, he was a condescending jackass to anyone who dared suggest Dem Heels ever did anything wrong. He made Mark āFudgeā Packer seem both reasonable and likable by comparison. I wonāt even try to joke about how off putting, slimy, and how much of a detestable, overly defensive jerk this guy came off as.
Participate however you choose to, but do not delude yourself into thinking this guy is anything other than a paid for CHeat mouthpiece. If there was such a thing as a punchable radio face, this guy has one.
I can guarantee you he will be condescending and downplay our little program.

Like David Glenn or not he does the college takeover on his show when he is out on vacation so you will not have to listen to him this week ^-^ Iām looking fwd to the show tomorrow. They also have the show online on a podcast shortly after the live broadcast has completed.
No, while most radio guys do troll/stir the pot, his defense of CHeat was quite deliberate and serious. He was operating as a PR arm.

For the most part, we collectively avoided Fudgeās show and that station in general (Im sure there are a few exceptions). In hindsight, Iām not 100% convinced that was the best play. I think if we had participated in larger numbers, all taking the high road (but not rolling over on the typical little sisters of the poor shtick), that would have probably come off better. A little Thursday AM quarterbacking from yours truly.

Iāve always thought that area non-ACC schools (including us) received decent treatment on the DG show. I didnāt hear his comments about CH, but that issue notwithstanding, Iāve enjoyed his show whenever I happen to catch it.
He did bring his tailgate tour to our campus even after our people refused to work with him.

He jocks the ACC hard, but he was very complimentary to us after our win at Butler (thatās the only time Iāve heard him talk about us on the air.
I think he comes across as a smarmy know it all. Heās boring radio to me.
He had a guest host do an interview with Lambert a couple of weeks ago, and they were very complimentary toward the program. Iāll be tuned in.
Iāll be listening to the podcast this weekend.
As for David Glen, I donāt mind his show at all; its true that it has a heavy focus on ACC related things, but when the Niners are brought up, the show has been complimentary. When discussing (in general) non-ACC football in NC, he usually includes us in some way.
That said I usually do not listen to his show during ACC basketball season, because that does get annoying.

He is the founder and cheif editor at ACC sports journal, so of course he is going to jock the ACC, he pretty much getās paid for doing that.
Iāve turned 180 on the radio theme over the last few years, back in the early 2000ās we deserved to be mad at the way we were treated, but where we are as a program now (thanks judy) we need to get any pub we can get, and we all need to do everything we can to get our name out there. The time to sticking our noses up in the air has been over for a long time now.
So who are we going to hear from?

He had Jeff Mullins on his show a few weeks ago talking about the Warrioirs in the Finals.
So, this is an official event that the athletic department is taking part in?
