What if BE holds tight though and considers going back to a hybrid league should the ACC implode?
They might as well at that point.
Also UConn and probably UMass are orgasmic every time they think about it. Temple too, for that matter.
Good luck with that.
Impressive.
I think this means theyâre going to have a shot at poaching the 4 corner schools now?
Yes, but why would they want to?
Unless that contract calls for increases if they add, whatâs the point?
If anything, it sets the minimum value add bar even higher than it was. Iâm not sure if any of the 4 corner schools can measure up.
When is the AAC TV deal up for renewal? I donât see the AAC getting anywhere close to $50 million per school but hopefully more than what the schools are getting now.
I suspect at best we could go up to $10M/per school due to inflation. But there is real anxiety over even being able to hold steady. I think the 2 year extension was a good sign.
I believe it expires in 2030.
If both the PAC and The 12 can not only survive but lock in decent contracts that is huge. Both leagues survive which is what we need for our chances to move up and they are setting higher bar for the value of the content which we can hope trickles down.
its already been stated they have a pro rata clause for expansion
Impressive by the Big 12.
And their on field performance this year has been very impressive.
Methinks they have the juice to survive and thrive without OU and UT.
I knew it had been discussed, but thatâs the first confirmation I have seen that they got it.
Thatâs actually not good for the PAC 12, and therefore bad for us to follow NWAâs rationale.
This puts their payouts on par with the ACC. They will be just fine. Now we need for the PAC to get close to that money so things will stabilize and we have a window of opportunity to win.
