Congratulations.

What can I say. You guys turned the rebounding edge 180 from last time. The front line of Iti, Withers and Basden deserve major props for answering the call.

Having Baldwin made a big difference for you also.

We had our chance. To have a chance to win in Halton, that’s all we can ask :frowning:

We couldn’t have played much better. Neither could you guys. Great, classic game :toast:

Thanks It was a game for the ages we will miss playing you guys.

Kirkland could have easliy made that shot

Kirk lacks confidence, IMO. He hesitated with the fake, and it threw him off.

Straight up, and at worst, it’s probably a foul. Easy for me to say from here, though. It was a good look.

Beat Louisville!

Agreed, great game by both teams. Shocked you guys didn’t go down low on the last play for a shot/put back opportunity. Will miss playing you guys.

I agree, neither team good have played much better, particularly in the first half. I hope both teams can maintain a level close to this for the rest of the year. That C-USA tournament game would be fun.

I hope we can some how resume this great rilvary in the future. I will miss this annual showdown in Charlotte.

One of the best CBB games this year. Both teams played very well. I too will miss playing Cincinnati. The big game used to be Louisville back in the metro conf. Since moving to CUSA, Cincy became the big game. Who now?

Good game niners. The crowd was great the entire game… well except for the throw object at the beginning. It’s too bad that Kirkland missed that shot, just a little strong. I would’ve love to have seen a W just to keep pace in the conf. standing.

Congrats, and beat the Cardinals!

Thanks, just sorry that this is the end of a great rivalry between our two schools!

Hopefully not the end of the rivalry. Due to scheduling we have to take a couple of years off, but maybe it will start back up. You think Cinci would ever come back to Halton?

We should have a good chance at L’ville if we play like we did tonight and also considering how well we tend to play on the road.

Go Niners!!!

No doubt it will be a good matchup for the fans, but I don’t know if Coach Huggs would want such a game with the 49ers out of conference with all the Big East games coming up. If the two schools do agree on to series long term, I tend to think it’d be a home and home set up.

Good luck at Freedom Hall. It’s a tough place to play for sure. For some reason I thought you guys get to play them in Charlotte.

My heart stopped when AK took that shot… from the band section I had the angle on it and it sure looked good. We definitely escaped with a win.

Great game to Cincinnati… they played well enough to win. This one felt good to come out of with a W. Good luck the rest of the season.

You Niner fans are always pretty decent on these boards…what in the heck happens to you guys when you get inside of Halton!? They shouldn’t let you out of your cage.

Great game Cincy. I hope you will press Huggins and your AD to get this series up and going for non-conf.

Definitely going to miss the rivalry (even if some Cincy fans won’t acknowledge it as one). Love him or hate him, Huggins has been great for the Niners and for CUSA. This has been a great series with you guys and I hope we can schedule again a few years down the road. When you attend a Cincy game at Halton, you really appreciate what big time college basketball is supposed to be like. It’s going to be really hard to duplicate that once we enter the A-10 but hopefully we can bring in some quality OOC opponents.

Good luck to the Bearcats in the future. As always, I’ll be pulling for you guys in the NCAA Tournament.

I saw a bunch of Niner Nation t-shirts on tv, great job!

It was another great Cincinnati-49ers game. I don’t know if I’d say it was the best one but it was 40 minutes of some pretty good ball by both squads. Eight turnovers by each team and 6 total steals is strong playing.

Bearcats… good luck in the Big East, you’ve got a fan here.

I told gruehls that I’ll be pulling for Cincy in future years. Good luck to the Bearcats.
