Might just stick with Charter but dump all the boxes but one and keep the internet too
I live like an old man. I only watch stuff with my antenna or listen with a radio I have set up to my sound system. The only subscriptions I have are to Spotify and the Charlotte Observer because I want to find new music and I appreciate the news enough to pay for it.
All these streaming services are scams in my eyes. If it’s not on regular tv then it isn’t worth my time.
I’m just about ready to cancel YTTV. Finding that I really only watch sports anymore. My wife only watches Netflix and my son only watches YouTube and tik tok.
Kinda sad.
clt is in the same boat brother. cancelling yttv, and not buying espn.
tired of paying for the bloated sports contracts
clt says there are no good guys in the espn v yttv war
I’m honestly happy that YTTV isn’t giving in. They know people are hitting their limit on price increases and that’s what’s going to happen if ESPN gets what they want. Fuck em, respectfully. They’ve done enough damage to college sports already.
TheHarryMan says damn right
Disney is going to win eventually I think. If they stick to their guns.
Content is king.
There is a ton of negative reaction / sentiment towards Disney. Their motives are obvious. Polls show the majority of respondents blame Disney.
Google can wait them out, they could buy them if they so wished. It was a bad time for DIsney to try to bully them with YouTube TV having the ability to show four games at once.
If they can’t check Disney then prices will escalate to the point where people will be forced to go to Disney direct.
Combined with Disney’s recent run of bad PR, I can’t imagine anyone is too sympathetic to their cause.
I didn’t realize how many sports fans have YTTV mainly for “quad box” (multi view). That is serious leverage for YTTV. ESPN can’t even get their app not to suck let alone letting you arrange a custom 4 games to watch (I’m aware THE ESPN app has some multi view options - but theyre limited).
- espn
- yttv
clt asks who do you blame?
