Dai-Jon Parker - 2011 SG

And Derrio will be a senior correct? I guess we can’t complain to have 3 studs at SG, we’ll see how it all works out.

i certainly hope so! and rots-o’-ruck. really!
personally, i’ll be delighted when either dai-jon OR TW joins us! both would be thrilling!!! but i just have this feeling that TW will play the game in niner green!
if he doesn’t…i’ll sign off for four weeks.

Simple, run a 3 guard lineup. You play your best players, and as Jay Wright has shown over the years, if that’s 4 guards, then you run a 4 guard lineup.

If Dai-Jon came here, i’m willing to bet he’d be penciled in as a starter at either the 2 or 3 (for at least his first season), then 2 thereafter. He’d be the highest ranked A-10 prospect (which includes some good ones like Dezmine Wells).

I pretty much wrote off TW after ECU signed another guard and he started taking more visits, but your overwhelming enthusiasm about him lately has me intrigued.

Rivals now lists the visit from Park to Charlotte at 10/8/10.

Visiting Oregon State this weekend.

actually, he’s visiting ohio state. this according to scout.

Scout is wrong. Ohio State is not in the final five. He’s in Oregon - http://rivals.yahoo.com/charlotte/basketball/recruiting/player-Dai-Jon-Parker-81003

Perhaps OSU means Oregon State and not Ohio State.

it says ohio state spelled out with the visit date today.

I can assure you it’s a mistake on Scouts end. this is a blurb from a recent Scout article, Ohio State is not mentioned.

“After those three home visits, the other schools he’s interested in and he’s wanting to take official visits to are Oregon State, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Charlotte," Loyd said. "He’s been to Oklahoma State, Georgia and Virginia Tech but he hasn’t visited the other four, and said he’d like to use four of his official visits to those schools. Then when all is said and done, he’ll use his last (official) visit to shore up where he wants to go.”

ill take your word for it and am a bit relieved as i see ohio state as a much bigger threat than oregon state to land this kid.

Interesting note about Parker:

Parker was once a big time 2 sport star at Milton. He was heavily recruited for football, which included offers from Georgia, Oklahoma State, Vandy, and Miss. St. to play football.

However, at the beginning of this summer, Parker decided to put away his football gear and focus on basketball only.

Here’s the article:

Oregon State can call up Obama.

Does anyone else think his game is sort of like Bowden’s game?

No he passed a few times in the youtube video 2k posted and also looked to drive the lane. I all I remember of Bowden was standing around the arc shooting 3’s. Parker also had a block in the video and I’m pretty sure Bowden spent all his time on the defensive end celebrating the shot he just made or was close to making.

it says ohio state spelled out with the visit date today.[/quote]It has Ohio state with a visit on 9/25/10

Scout also has an article on Travis Ford as Oklahoma State visiting him.

He just visited Oregon State.

So…there are three OSU’s recruiting this kid.

It doesn’t matter though because he’ll be a niner ;D

We are out of the mix per a recent twitter report by DMcDonaldHoops.

2011 combo guard Dai-Jon Parker narrowed his list down to Georgia, Oklahoma St, Oregon St, Rhode Island, and Vandy in no particular oder.

Don’t think it’s a coincidence that we got Terrence William’s verbal then.

I gotta think we’re hard after Eli Carter now and maybe a fall back if we don’t get him. We need a PG badly.

Carter and Nickerson are definitely our 2 top targets. Not sure who our plan B’s are at this point.
