If Miley can get the same judge and jury as Led Zeppelin did in the fairly recent “Stairway to Heaven” trial - also held in LA - then she might get this lawsuit to go her way. If a notorious riff stealer like Jimmy Page can get away with it, maybe she and her fellow songwriters can too!

I hear ya. But I think as a society we have a lot of this backwards. Hill was breaking the law and not following police orders. Yet seemingly nothing was mentioned about that. He was telling the cops they were hurting his surgically repaired knee, but he was on his way to play in an NFL game.

Hill and the officer who escalated the traffic stop were both being asses. Neither one an angel long before the incident.

Like I said, Hill being wrong and an ass seemed to be brushed under the rug. I never said the cop was 100% in the right. But honestly I’m not sure what the cop was supposed to do. They have to think about their safety too. If a cop asks you to put down your window and you don’t do it, it is perfectly reasonable to start to worry about your (the cops) safety.
