I’ve heard from a couple people that Ozempic at least is hard to get regularly, resulting in weight loss then crash back after going off it that they said made things worse than before. I bet it’s having some effect but maybe limited.

The sobering thing about that chart is that the improvement is still only getting us back to the obesity levels of 2015 or so, which was still above 40%! Improving on this would make a such huge difference in health costs and people’s quality of life. Might be worth subsidizing production of those drugs if that would make a difference in availability.

Ozempic is probably the cause, but I hate it. It is entirely possible to experience equivalent weight loss via a low carb, high protein + fat diet, but people are lazy.
