Sounds promising
Prime example of why we should be recruiting the Charlotte area so hard. This is the only way we can get SEC/P5 level talent at this point in our programs history.
Very excited to have him. Has a chance to really make noise in CUSA. 3 years eligibility if Iām not mistaken.

With so many non qualifiers and transfers, even if you miss out on your first try they may fall into your lap later because you established a relationship.
clt says this story shows the impact of bojangles on our program.

It sounds like that is exactly what happened in this case. Do we want them to do better? Yes of course. But give them some props when they succeed.
FYI, we didnāt recruit him at all in HS.
Barkley said we did in the article - āIāve known Coach (Brad) Lambert since I was a sophomore in high school. We talked briefly, and heās been trying to recruit me since then."

Was he just saying that as a courtesy to his new coaching staff?

Sometimes recruits will say what their new coaches want them to say. Who knows?
Yeah, I hope he can make an immediate impact. We need another guy like that on the D-Line. (Sure do miss Larry )
Yeah, what happened in HS doesnāt matter now with Barkley. Just glad heās here and hope he can help us out.
Good get, with 3 years of eligibility leftā¦hope more of this happens, but we need to fight to get kids like this straight out of HS and not wait till they want to transfer.
