Chris Clunie, a former walk-on basketball player at Davidson and now director of the NBA’s International Basketball Operations, has been named the Wildcats’ athletics director, the school announced Wednesday.
Clunie, 34, graduated from Davidson in 2006 and has worked for the NBA’s international operation since 2008, rising to director in 2017.

The mildcat’s comments are primarily positive based simply on the fact that he went to Davidson, but several posters actually seem to think they should have hired someone qualified to do the job. I think the President is just acknowledging that this role will not manage McKillop, and the rest of Davidson sports really do not matter.
Not a gripe. I don’t know Chris, but I’m sure he is a great guy and a true Wildcat, based on the many positive comments. We had a chance to make a statement about our sports progams, and hire a proven AD, but instead of growling we meowed.
