Davis on Charlotte
Not surprisingly, IU coach Mike Davis put Charlotte, which is unranked, on the same level as those top 10 teams. He said he thought the 49ers might be the best team in Conference USA.
“They’re extremely talented,” he said. “I’d put them up there with Kentucky and UConn.”
Interesting indeed. My understanding was he made the comment “We should beat a team like Charlotte by 25.” Maybe I read that quote wrong.
Yeah. Two years ago concerning the team of the season that never happened.
He made that comment when they should have beaten us by 25, I have no problem with his quote that year. We absolutely sucked and won only 13 games to prove it…
Oh ok…thanx for the correction. In that case, thanx for the props this year Mike Davis, I hope we beat you tonight by 25.

Hate to say it, but that year they should have beaten us by 25.
On the Indiana boards they claim that the most recent comment by Davis is so he has an excuse when they lose (no love over there). I appreciate Davis’ comments on us but the Charlotte team I’ve seen this season doesn’t belong in the same sentance as the other teams he mentioned. If the team we should have decides to show up, that’s a different story.
Id say we would spilt 10 games with Kentucky(Even though I heard someone once said that Chuck Hayes is the best player in the country B) ) and win 3 out of 10 games with UCONN.
