Anyone know why we haven’t recruited this kid. I am assuming he does have the grade since he appears to be a stud football and basketball player. He is local though, anyone got any insight??

I think he’s going to a BCS conference. I don’t think we have even tried to recruit him due to the fact he is looking to play for a BCS school.
EDIT- Jimmy here’s another thread started about him, has some answers and stuff.

Rumor…Grades and going to Cincy.

Yep, discussed in that other thread about him:
He told the Observer in an article last week that Cinci will take him if he’s academically eligible. Says he’ll most likely prep for a year.
This kid also made 1st team All-State and was third in votes to Dwight Jones and Victor Davila. Jones is nasty btw, he is one of the best seniors this year in the state, but he won’t be getting a basketball scholarship in the fall. Jones is a 5 star WR that is heading to Chapel Hill (grrr.)
Committed to Miss St. for 2008. Going prep next year (Hargrave)…
Dee Bost commitment adds to elite 2008 Mississippi State recruiting class
7/11/07 21:08 MST
"Rick Stansbury is putting together one of the truly elite 2008-09 recruiting classes after adding one time 2007 prep PG Dee Bost. The Concord, NC native who is prepping this year at Hargrave Military Academy joins fellow highly touted commits SG Scotty Hopson and combo forward Romero Osby.
Updated Miss State Commits
A two-sport star who was also an explosive quarterback at Concord High School, Bost is a powerful lead guard who can get to the basket whenever he desires and is a natural scorer. With the talent on hand for the Bulldogs however, Bost will likely be expected to run the show and look to score second.
Best of all, Bost is a true winner, taking both his high school basketball and football teams deep into the state playoffs after being inserted as the team’s quarterback. His game has a ways to go, but there is no question Bost will put in the work and make a big impace at MSU".

Say what?! So we’re not going to recruit players who have an interest in playing for a BCS school. Does that mean we’re not going to recruit anybody?! Hmmm…
Realized declaring for NBA was a mistake and is trying to get reinstated.
Hope he can get reinstated, but he might want to look and find a different agent or adviser next time.
