That Lavender may be looking to transfer from OU.

It appears that he’s deciding on whether to stay or go. Part of that could depend on where he would wind up if he ops to leave.

The former McDonald’s High School All-American had a conference with coach Kelvin Sampson last Monday. After that meeting, Lavender told The Oklahoman he had planned to stay at OU. Lavender, like McKenzie, still has his redshirt year available.
The 5-foot-7 guard started all 31 games as a freshman and 28 of 32 games as a sophomore. He averaged 9.7 points and 3.2 assists per game[/b]
OU is loaded with talent, regardless. From that same story…remember Mike Neal. He almost was a Niner.
In November, the Sooners signed Mike Neal, a 6-3 shooter, from Lon Morris Junior College. Neal is expected to get a lot of minutes at the guard spot. With McKenzie gone, Neal has the opportunity to become the starter. Neal has been touted as one of the better shooters in the junior college ranks.
Sampson is one of the most respected coaches in the country and look at all of the guys who have left his program.

aaagh it pains me to read that about Neal, we were SO CLOSE, and he is SUCH A GREAT SHOOTER!!!
